How "First Day of the Week" Entered the Text The phrase "first day of the week" found in modern English Bibles is not a direct translation of the original text. It is a calculated linguistic substitution designed to align the Scriptures with a Roman calendar system rather than the Creator's calendar. The Confrontation: "You base an entire doctrine of Sunday worship on a handful of resurrection verses, claiming the Master changed the day of rest. But you are basing your theology on a translation choices made centuries later. When you pull back the English cover and look at the original manuscripts, the phrase 'Sunday' or 'first day of the week' completely vanishes. Read Matthew 28:1 and John 20:1." The Verse: * Matthew 28:1 (Literal Greek): "Ὀψὲ δὲ σαββάτων, τῇ ἐπιφωσκούσῃ εἰς μίαν σαββάτων..." * King James Version (With added words): "In the end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week..." The Shock: "The literal text completely dismantles the traditional Sunday narrative: The Original Greek: In every single resurrection account, the manuscripts do not contain the words for 'first day of the week.' The text explicitly reads mia tōn sabbatōn (μία τῶν σαββάτων), which literally translates to 'the first of the Sabbaths.' This is direct Hebrew covenant language referencing the countdown of the seven weekly Sabbaths leading up to Pentecost (Leviticus 23:15). The Ancient Translations: The earliest historical translations kept this link intact. Jerome’s Latin Vulgate (382 AD) rendered it literally as 'Una autem sabbati' ('The first of the Sabbath'). Wycliffe’s English Bible (1382) followed suit, translating it straight as 'one day of the sabotis' ('one day of the Sabbaths'). The 16th-Century Shift: The change occurred in the 1500s with William Tyndale and was later formalized by the King James Version in 1611. Translators swapped out 'Sabbath' for the idiom 'first day of the week' to match the Roman solar calendar. To force this interpretation, the KJV translators had to insert the words 'day of the' in italics, openly admitting those words do not exist in the Greek manuscripts. The Bottom Line: The phrase 'first day of the week' is a later human modification. The original accounts do not inaugurate a new day of worship; they explicitly anchor the resurrection timeline directly to the Hebrew Sabbath calendar." The Sign of the Sabbath Exodus 31:14 (Numbers 15:32–36) 12 And the LORD said to Moses, 13“Tell the Israelites, ‘Surely you must keep My Sabbaths, for this will be a sign between Me and you for the generations to come, so that you may know that I am the LORD who sanctifies you. 14 Keep the Sabbath, for it is holy to you. (Anyone who profanes it must surely be put to death. ) "Christians must not judaize by resting on the Sabbath, but must work on that day, rather honoring the Lord's Day; and, if they can, resting then as Christians. But if any shall be found to be judaizers, let them be anathema from Christ." 1910 (Modern Doctrinal Exposition – The Convert’s Catechism): Peter Geiermann’s Catechism: Formally affirmed the Church’s exercise of ecclesiastical authority in altering the day of worship: Q: Which is the Sabbath day? A: Saturday is the Sabbath day. Q: Why do we observe Sunday instead of Saturday? A: We observe Sunday instead of Saturday because the Catholic Church transferred the solemnity from Saturday to Sunday. Present Official Doctrine (Catechism of the Catholic Church): Paragraph 2175: Summarizes the official theological rationale—defining Sunday as a distinct observance that supersedes and spiritually fulfills the seventh day: And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up: and he entered, as his custom was, into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and stood up to read. Luk3 4:16 So when the Jews went out of the synagogue, the Gentiles begged that these words might be preached to them the next Sabbath . ACTS 1 The mark of God Is the Sabbath 777 is found on the Sabbath Genesis 2:1-3 2 Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them. 2 And on the seventh day God finished the work that he had done, and he rested on the seventh day from all the work that he had done. 3 So God blessed the seventh day and made it holy because on it God rested from all the work that he had done in creation. There are three elements to a legal seal. The name, His Title, His territory Exodus 20:8-11 God seal/sign 8 “Remember the Sabbath day by keeping it holy. 9 Six days you shall labor and do all your work, 10 but the seventh day is a sabbath to the Lord your God . On it, you shall not do any work , neither you, nor your son or daughter, nor your male or female servant, nor your animals, nor any foreigner residing in your towns. 11 For in six days the Lord he made (creator) heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, but he rested on the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy.

As you read in the verses Paul makes it clear also, if you are led by the spirit you are not under the law, (Keeping this in mind sin is transgression of the law.) So, if you are not keeping Yehovah laws and statutes you are under the law, because there is no law against keeping His laws. A. How You Get In vs. How You Walk Paul’s Focus: Paul was dealing with a massive crisis: institutional religious leaders were telling Gentile converts that they couldn't be saved unless they underwent ritual circumcision and converted to Judaism before trusting in Yeshua (Acts 15:1). Paul fought this fiercely. He argued that a person is justified (cleared of their past guilt) by faith in Yeshua's sacrifice, not by their own track record of keeping the law. You cannot earn your way out of past sins. Yeshua’s Focus: Yeshua was speaking to people who already knew the Torah but were faking it. He focused on how a saved person walks. Once you are in the covenant by faith, obedience is the fruit of your love for Him. B. "Works of the Law" vs. "The Commandments" When Paul uses the phrase "works of the law" (especially in Galatians and Romans), he isn't talking about God's Ten Commandments or the Sabbath. In the first-century Hebrew mind, "works of the law" (ma'asei ha-torah) referred to man-made religious decrees, traditional conversion rituals, and legalistic checklists used to separate Jews from Gentiles. Paul fought man-made legalism, but he loved God’s literal law. He explicitly wrote: "The law is holy, and the commandment is holy and righteous and good" (Romans 7:12). C. The Target: The Great Harlot's Loophole The institutional church system (the "Great Harlot") took Paul's complex arguments about Gentile inclusion and twisted them into a license for lawlessness . They used Paul to create a loophole to throw out the Sabbath, ignore the dietary laws, and abandon the appointed feasts—the exact opposite of how Yeshua lived. If Paul actually taught that the Sabbath was abolished or that God's food laws didn't matter, he would have been a false prophet according to Deuteronomy 13. But Paul defended himself against that exact accusation in a Roman court: "I confess to you, that according to the Way, which they call a sect, I worship the God of our fathers, believing everything laid down by the Law and written in the Prophets." — Acts 24:14 The Verdict The difference is not that Yeshua said "Obey" and Paul said "Don't." The truth is that Yeshua is the Standard, and Paul is the Commentary. Yeshua showed us what the perfect walk looks like. Paul explained how the rest of the world (the Gentiles) could be grafted into that exact same olive tree through faith (Romans 11). If anyone interprets Paul in a way that contradicts the clear, commandment-keeping lifestyle of Yeshua, they are doing exactly what Peter warned against: twisting Paul’s words into the error of the lawless. In 2 Peter 3:15-16, Peter refers to Paul as a "beloved brother" who wrote with wisdom given to him. Peter acknowledges that some of Paul's writings are hard to understand, noting that ignorant and unstable people twist them—along with "other Scriptures"—to their own destruction God righteousness is His Torah When we read The Torah keep in mind there is a difference between Gods law and the works of the law mans law .CONCLUSIONS The “no-law” doctrine has taken Paul’s “hard to understand writings They interpret the works of the law which is the oral law of the Jews to mean that the laws of God given through Moses are no more, and in so doing, have elevated Paul’s teachings above the teaching of Yeshua and the very words of God. The filter that should be used is that God does not change, He is not a God of confusion, He doesn't lie, or that scripture cannot be broken, and it is the whole duty of m an to keep all His commandments . The decrees of Yehovah are trustworthy, making wise the simple. The commandments of Yehovah are right, bringing joy to the heart . The commands of Yehovah are clear, giving insight into living. Reverence for Yehovah is pure, lasting forever. The laws of Yehovah are true; each one is fair. T hey are more desirable than gold, even the finest gold. They are sweeter than honey, even honey dripping from the comb. They are a warning to your servant, a great reward for those who obey them. Psalm 19:7 The one who belongs listens and responds to Yehovah's words. If you don't listen and respond , it is because you don't belong to Yehovah." John 8:47 In 321 A.D., the “Christianized” Roman Emperor Constantine declared Sunday a day of rest, although it was in honor of the “venerable day of the sun,” hence the name of the day, not of the traditional Sabbath.

Have you ever said this? That's your translation not mine. That’s your interpretation. This is a list of several Bible translations, including the Catholic Bible, they all say the same thing. We all are going to judgment not heaven. Hebrews 9:27 Definitions with eternal consequences. Luke 12:47-48 – The Servant Who Knows His Master’s Will The servant who knows the master’s will and does not get ready or does not do what the master wants will be beaten with many blows. But the one who does not know and does things deserving punishment will be beaten with few blows. From everyone who has been given much, much will be demanded; and from the one who has been entrusted with much, much more will be asked. 32. Hebrews 10:26-27 – If We Deliberately Keep On Sinning If we deliberately keep on sinning after we have received the knowledge of the truth, no sacrifice for sins is left, but only a fearful expectation of judgment and of raging fire that will consume the enemies of God. 33. Ezekiel 3:20 – When a Righteous Person Turns From Their Righteousness Again, when a righteous person turns from their righteousness and does evil, and I put a stumbling block before them, they will die. Since you did not warn them, they will die for their sin. The righteous things that person did will not be remembered, and I will hold you accountable for their blood. 34. 1 Corinthians 10:5 – God Was Not Pleased With Most of Them Nevertheless, God was not pleased with most of them; their bodies were scattered in the wilderness. 35. Revelation 22:18-19 – If Anyone Takes Words Away I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this scroll: If anyone adds anything to them, God will add to that person the plagues described in this scroll. And if anyone takes words away from this scroll of prophecy, God will take away from that person any share in the tree of life and in the Holy City, which are described in this scroll. The Beatitudes give us a picture of a true disciple of God. Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. "The kingdom of heaven" refers to people who acknowledge Yehovah as King. "Blessed are those daring enough to openly live as Yeshua and suffer persecution. The Sermon on the Mountain The Sermon on the Mountain This final diagnostic test goes directly to the heart of the Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 5:1–12). It strips away the passive, poetic veneer that religion often wraps around the Beatitudes, forcing the reader to look into the mirror of the Messiah's opening words and see if their internal condition matches the exact description of a citizen of His Kingdom. 📋 The "Sermon on the Mount" Internal Alignment Test Instructions: Answer these 8 direct questions based on your true internal state and outward actions to determine if you are bearing the fruit of a true disciple or if you are simply tracking with the crowds. Question 1: Poor in Spirit vs. Self-Sufficient The Master states: "Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven." When you look at your life before Yehovah, what is your true spiritual posture? A) You walk in absolute bankruptcy, fully recognizing your total, desperate need for Yehovah to lead you, guide you, and instruct your every step. B) You are spiritually self-sufficient, relying on your own intellect, human doctrines, or a past prayer, assuming you are "good enough" without a daily, broken dependency on Him. Question 2: Mourning Over Sin vs. Rationalizing Compromise The Master states: "Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted." How do you respond internally when you realize you have violated the Father's commands or fallen into sin? A) You experience deep, heavy sorrow over your transgression, leading you to an immediate, physical turn (repentance) back to His ways so you can find the true comfort of His forgiveness. B) You shrug it off, minimize it, or claim that "grace covers it" without ever feeling genuine grief or making an effort to stop the behavior. Question 3: The Meek vs. The Self-Willed The Master states: "Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth." Meekness is strength under total submission. Who holds the ultimate authority over your time, your money, your diet, and your rest? A) You have fully submitted your neck to Yehovah's yoke. Whatever His Word commands, you do—making Him the absolute Lord over everything you possess. B) You are self-willed. You listen to God's Word only when it matches your existing lifestyle, retaining final veto power over any instruction that requires real sacrifice. Question 4: Hungering for Righteousness vs. Feasting on the World The Master states: "Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled." What is the driving passion and deepest hunger of your everyday life? A) You passionately long for the righteousness of Yeshua, consuming His Word daily like food and water, desperate to see His character and His Torah reflected perfectly in your walk. B) You are spiritually full and satisfied with the distractions, entertainment, and material comforts of this world, treating the deeper things of scripture as an occasional snack. Question 5: Merciful vs. Resentful The Master states: "Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy." When someone wrongs you or falls short, what is your knee-jerk reaction? A) You actively extend forgiveness, kindness, and compassion, remembering the massive debt of sin the Father forgave you, and you sow mercy so you may reap it. B) You hold grudges, keep tabs on offenses, or harbor bitter resentment, expecting the Father to show you unlimited mercy while you refuse to offer it to others. Question 6: Pure in Heart vs. Outward Appearance The Master states: "Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see Yehovah." Remembering Hebrews 12:14 ("Without holiness, no one will see Yehovah"), what does your life look like when no human being is watching? A) You pursue inward holiness that only Yehovah can see, begging Him to cleanse your hidden motives, your thoughts, and your desires from the inside out. B) You focus entirely on outward appearance. You put on a good show for people at church or online, but your hidden thought life remains uncleaned and full of compromise. Question 7: Peacemakers vs. Divide-and-Conquer The Master states: "Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called sons of Yehovah." How do you handle the ministry of reconciliation (2 Corinthians 5:19–20)? A) Having been reconciled to the Father through Yeshua, you actively bring that exact message of truth, repentance, and restored covenant fellowship to the people around you. B) You cause division, spread gossip, or remain completely silent about the Messiah, leaving the people in your life disconnected from the only source of true peace. Question 8: Persecuted for Righteousness vs. Hiding the Light The Master states: "Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness... Blessed are you when people insult you... because of me." What happens when your obedience to scripture causes friction with family, friends, or the culture? A) You dare to openly live exactly as Yeshua lived, counting it a joy and a privilege to face insults, exclusion, or false accusations for the sake of His name and His truth. B) You hide your faith, adjust your language, or compromise on the commandments to blend in, ensuring you never face discomfort, social rejection, or pushback from the world. The Kingdom Verdict: Look back over the eight boxes you checked. If the answers land consistently on B, the mirror reveals a sobering truth: The crowd followed Yeshua for the miracles, but only the disciples climbed the mountain to live by His words. You cannot inherit the Kingdom of Heaven if you reject the internal alignment required of its citizens . The Beatitudes are not a list of optional suggestions; they are the baseline character of the remnant. To claim to follow the Messiah while refusing to walk in His meekness, His purity, and His willingness to suffer for righteousness is to remain outside the gate. The choice to step onto the mountain and obey is yours today. Matthew 5:3-12 By Mary Fairchild The Beatitudes give us a picture of a true disciple of God . Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs, is the kingdom of heaven. The phrase "poor in spirit" speaks of a spiritual condition of poverty. It describes the person who recognizes his or her need for Yehovah. "The kingdom of heaven" refers to people who acknowledge Yehovah as King. Paraphrase: "Blessed are those who humbly recognize their need for Yehovah, for they will enter into his kingdom." Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted. "Those who mourn" speaks of those who express deep sorrow over sin and repent for their sins. The freedom found in forgiveness of sin and the joy of eternal salvation is the "comfort" of those who repent. Paraphrase: "Blessed are those who mourn for their sins, for they shall receive forgiveness and life eternal." Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth. Similar to "the poor," "the meek" are those who submit to Yehovah’s authority and make Him Lord. Revelation 21:7 says Yehovah’s children will "inherit all things." Paraphrase: "Blessed are those who submit to Yehovah as Lord, for they will inherit everything he possesses." Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled. "Hunger" and "thirst" speak of deep need and driving passion. This "righteousness" refers to Yeshua Messiah. To "be filled" is the satisfaction of our soul's desire. Paraphrase: "Blessed are those who passionately long for Christ, for he will satisfy their souls." Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy. We reap what we sow. Those who demonstrate mercy will receive mercy. Likewise, those who have received great mercy will show great mercy. Mercy is shown through forgiveness, kindness, and compassion toward others. Paraphrase: "Blessed are those who show mercy through forgiveness, kindness, and compassion, for they will receive mercy." Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see Yehovah. The "pure in heart" are those who have been cleansed from within. This is not outward righteousness that can be seen by men, but inward holiness that only Yehovah can see. The Bible says in Hebrews 12:14 that without holiness, no one will see Yehovah. Paraphrase: "Blessed are those who have been purified from the inside out, being made clean and holy, for they will see Yehovah." Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called sons of Yehovah. The The Bible says we have peace with Yehovah through Yeshua Messiah. Reconciliation through Christ brings restored fellowship (peace) with Yehovah. 2 Corinthians 5:19-20 says Yehovah entrusts us with this same message of reconciliation to take to others. Paraphrase: "Blessed are those who have been reconciled to Yehovah through Yeshua Messiah and bring this same message of reconciliation to others. All who have peace with Yehovah are his children." Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Just as Yeshua faced persecution, so will his followers. Those who endure by faith rather than hide their faith to avoid persecution are genuine followers of Yeshua. Paraphrase: " Blessed are those daring enough to openly live as and for Yeshua and suffer persecution, for they will receive the kingdom of heaven."Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you, and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you. Matthew 5:11

Factual Note: The Messiah’s original name was Yeshua (יֵשׁוּעַ), a shortened form of Yehoshua (יְהוֹשׁוּעַ / Joshua). Hebrew etymology: It derives from the root יָשַׁע (yasha — to save, deliver, rescue). The name combines the theophoric prefix Yah (from יהוה / Yahweh) + shua (salvation/cry for help), literally meaning "Yahweh saves" or "Yahweh is salvation." Hebrew Alphabet History: The Hebrew alphabet consists of 22 letters and has never included the letter "J" or the "J" sound. Ancient Hebrew used the yod (י) which produces a "Y" sound (as in "yes"). The Savior’s name in Hebrew letters is ישוע (Yod-Shin-Vav-Ayin), pronounced approximately Yeh-shoo-ah or Yah-shoo-ah. The letter J did not exist in any alphabet until the 15th-17th centuries in European languages WHY are they HIDING GOD'S NAME? | The YESHUA TRUTH the CHURCH won’t TELL YOU The change of these names was not a single event, but a three-stage mechanical breakdown of the original Hebrew Blueprint. It was driven by a combination of linguistic "telephone" and a deliberate effort by the Roman-led Church to distance the faith from its Hebrew roots. To understand why the names, the Sabbath, and the Feasts were changed, you have to look at the Council of Nicaea (325 AD) and the Council of Laodicea (363 AD). This wasn't just a "misunderstanding"; it was a deliberate divorce from the Hebrew Blueprint. The Roman-led Church didn't just want to "add" to the faith; they wanted to kill the root to make the religion acceptable to the Roman Empire. 1. The Greek "Translation" (Stage One) As the message moved into the Roman Empire, the Hebrew names were squeezed into the Greek language, which lacked the proper sounds to support them. Yeshua (ישוע) became Iēsous. Because Greek has no "Sh" sound and requires male names to end in "s," the name was structurally altered. Yochanan became Ioannes (John). Ya'akov became Iakobos (James). 2. The Latin "Standard" (Stage Two) When the Roman Catholic Church took control, they translated the Greek into Latin (the Vulgate). Iēsous became Iesus. The names were further "Latinized" to fit the tongue of Rome, moving them even further away from the original sound and meaning intended by Yehovah. 3. The English "Invention" (Stage Three) This is where the final "addition" occurred. As you noted, the letter "J" is a late addition to the alphabet. The Timeline: For 1,500 years, the name was pronounced with an "I" or "Y" sound. The Change: In the 16th and 17th centuries, English printers began using the "J" to distinguish the consonant sound. Iesus became Jesus. The Result: A carnal world accepted a name that is phonetically disconnected from the Father. By the time you get to "Jesus" or "James," the Hebrew connection to Salvation and Yehovah has been completely erased. WHO IS RESPONSIBLE? While linguists blame "natural evolution," the Truth reveals a more calculated culprit: The Spirit of Rome: The Roman Church sought to create a "Universal" (Catholic) religion. To make it palatable to the pagan world, they stripped away the "Jewishness" of the Savior and His disciples. The Translators: Men like Jerome and later English scholars prioritized the "sound" of their own languages over the Sanctity of the Original Name. The Mechanical Failure By changing the names, they "subtracted" the power of the Hebrew identity and "added" a Western identity. Ya'akov (the name of the Patriarch) was turned into James—a name that didn't even exist in the ancient world. Yeshua (The Father's Salvation) was turned into a generic, 600-year-old English label. The Verdict: If you are following "Jesus and James," you are following a Westernized translation. If you want to walk the Narrow Way, you must return to the Original Blueprint: Yeshua and His disciples who lived and died by the Torah. As the language is read right to left, the letter sequence is . actually HWHY, and means this pictographically: H = ה = hey = behold/reveal/breath W = י = yod = arm/hand/work/deed/worship H = ה = hey = behold/reveal/breath Y = ו = vav = nail/secure/add/and When read pictographically, the word YHWH means, “Behold the hand, behold the nail.” As others have pointed out, this would mean nothing in Judaism. But in Christianity, the hand and nail are direct references to Jesus’ crucifixion, the defining act around which the entire Christian faith revolves. So for some Christians, the name YHWH is God telling humanity how He will save them. • Test Your Self | Answers 4 Saints

The Diagnostic Test — Spirit of Truth or Spirit of Tradition? Use these four questions to examine yourself or guide a brother or sister through honest self-reflection: 1. The Humility Test (John 16:13 & Acts 17:11) The Question: When clear biblical evidence exposes that an inherited church belief or holiday violates Scripture, what is your immediate response? Spirit of Truth: "Let God be true and every man a liar." You yield to the text, repent, and abandon the tradition, regardless of the personal or family cost. Spirit of Tradition: You become defensive, dismiss the study, justify church custom, or claim "God knows my heart." 2. The Obedience Test (1 John 2:3–4 & John 14:15) The Question: “Now by this we know that we know Him, if we keep His commandments. He who says, ‘I know Him,’ and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.” Do you strive to obey His commandments, or do you view His law as a burden? Spirit of Truth: Obedience is your act of love and fruit of repentance. Spirit of Tradition: Uses grace as an excuse for disobedience, claiming the commandments don't apply anymore. 3. The Authority Test (Mark 7:7–9) The Question: When God's Word says one thing and your denomination or favorite preacher says another, who wins? Spirit of Truth: Scripture alone holds final authority over doctrine and daily life. Spirit of Tradition: Denominational catechisms, pastors' opinions, and family heritage overrule the text. 4. The Name Test (Matthew 1:21 & Acts 4:12) The Question: When shown that Gabriel assigned the Hebrew name Yeshua ("Yahweh is Salvation"), carrying the Father's personal redemptive signature, does your spirit leap to honor it, or do you despise its Hebrew origin? Spirit of Truth: Receives the name with reverent joy, marveling at the Father's salvation. Spirit of Tradition: Clings to familiarity and mocks or rejects the original Hebrew truth. Part 3: The Watchman’s Mandate “Son of man, I have made you a watchman for the house of Israel; therefore hear a word from My mouth, and give them warning from Me: When I say to the wicked, ‘You shall surely die,’ and you give him no warning, nor speak to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life, that same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood I will require at your hand. Yet, if you warn the wicked, and he does not turn from his wickedness, nor from his wicked way, he shall die in his iniquity; but you have delivered your soul.” — Ezekiel 3:17–19 To the Reader: This warning is delivered to you not in hatred, but in urgent love. You have now been shown the mirror of Scripture. The difference between what God commanded and what man instituted is clear. In Romans 8:1–14, Paul sets up an absolute, binary divide. There is no middle ground or third category: a person is either governed by the mind of the flesh (sarx) or the Spirit of God (Pneuma). Paul does not frame this test around emotional experiences or external religious performance, but around dominion, mindset, and alignment with God's law. 1. The Starting Position: Condemnation vs. Freedom (vv. 1–4) What God Said: The Mosaic Law was holy and just, but it was "weakened by the flesh"—it could command righteousness, but human nature could not produce it. God fulfilled the righteous requirement of the Law by sending His Son in the likeness of sinful flesh to condemn sin in the flesh. The Mark of Having the Spirit: The believer walks "not according to the flesh but according to the Spirit" (v. 4). The law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set them free from the law of sin and death. The Contrast: The flesh is trapped under an endless cycle of command, failure, and condemnation. The Spirit produces an internal reality where the demand of God's Word is actively loved and lived out. 2. The Mindset Test: Setting the Affections (vv. 5–6) "For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit set their minds on the things of the Spirit. For to set the mind on the flesh is death, but to set the mind on the Spirit is life and peace." (vv. 5–6) The Mind of the Flesh: Governed by temporal preservation, self-elevation, appetites, and autonomous human reasoning. Its ultimate end is spiritual decay and death. The Mind of the Spirit: Preoccupied with what honors God—truth, holiness, obedience, and kingdom purposes. The Test: What does the mind naturally drift toward when unrestrained? The flesh defaults to self-interest; the Spirit defaults to God's will, resulting in inner stability (life and peace). 3. The Authority Test: Hostility vs. Submission (vv. 7–8) "For the mind that is set on the flesh is hostile to God, for it does not submit to God's law; indeed, it cannot. Those who are in the flesh cannot please God." (vv. 7–8) This is the diagnostic core of Paul’s argument: The Flesh Cannot Submit: The natural human heart views God's absolute authority as an imposition or a threat to autonomy. Even when outwardly observant, it negotiates, modifies, or excuses disobedience. It is fundamentally at war with "God Said." The Inability to Please God: Good deeds, religious ceremonies, or moral philosophies done under the impulse of the flesh remain unacceptable to God because the underlying will has never surrendered. 4. The Ownership Test: The Indwelling Presence (vv. 9–11) "You, however, are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if in fact the Spirit of God dwells in you. Anyone who does not have the Spirit of Christ does not belong to him." (v. 9) Paul’s Binary Conclusion: You either possess the Spirit and belong to Christ, or you do not have the Spirit and are alien to Him. There is no category of a Christian who lacks the Spirit of Christ. The Internal Witness: If Christ is in you, the natural body remains subject to physical death because of sin, but the spirit is alive because of imputed and imparted righteousness (v. 10). The Guarantee: The same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead acts as a residing power, imparting resurrection life even to mortal bodies to walk in holiness now (v. 11). 5. The Mortification and Sonship Test (vv. 12–14) "For if you live according to the flesh you will die, but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live. For all who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God." (vv. 12–14) Active Mortification: Having the Spirit does not mean passive sinlessness; it means active warfare. The true believer does not coddle the flesh or make peace with compromise—they actively put to death the misdeeds of the body through the Spirit's power. Led by the Spirit: In biblical context, being "led by the Spirit" in verse 14 does not refer primarily to mystical nudges about career or life choices; it refers directly to being led away from sin and into righteousness. "Believers don't care what the truth Is, or care what Yehovah desires from us. We are afraid of looking into, it because it will draw a line in the sand, we know we don't want to make those decisions because at the end of the day, we want what we want, we are comfortable with our lives we are comfortable out traditions that are man-made. But you have a thought that pops into your head that's not what it means to me. The issue is it doesn't matter to you it matters to Yehovah He is the one being worshiped." The problem facing the church is not that people lack a complete set of beliefs the problem is that have a full state of beliefs in mind, which they think are consistent with biblical teachings, and they are neither open to being proven wrong nor learning new insights . The bottom line is among both clergy and laity was indifference toward their acknowledged lack of evaluation" Barrna Heading 6 The Day "Christianity" Overtook Christianity (Constantine vs. Passover) To help others understand this perspective, it is often most effective to move away from modern traditions and point directly to the Biblical standard for worship. When people argue that "Easter is for Jesus," the response from this viewpoint is typically that the motive doesn't sanctify the method. Here are the four primary pillars used to explain why this holiday is seen as problematic from a strictly Biblical standpoint: 1. The Command Against "Syncretism" The most direct Biblical argument is that God explicitly forbids mixing His worship with the customs of other gods. Deuteronomy 12:30-31: God tells Israel not to ask, "How did these nations serve their gods? I will also do likewise." He says, "You shall not worship the Lord your God in that way." The Point: Even if someone intends to honor the Resurrection, using symbols originally tied to fertility deities (like eggs and rabbits) is seen as "incorporating the abominable" into the holy. 2. The Origin of the Name While most languages use a version of the word Pascha (Passover), the English name "Easter" has no Biblical root. The History: It is widely accepted (even by the 8th-century monk Bede) that the name derives from Eostre (or Ostara), a Germanic goddess of spring and fertility. The Argument: If God's name is to be hallowed and kept pure, using the name of a pagan deity to title the most important event in history (the Resurrection) is viewed as a form of spiritual "compromise." 3. "The Way of the Heathen" Jeremiah 10:2 says, "Do not learn the way of the Gentiles." This perspective argues that "Easter" as we know it is a man-made tradition that replaced the God-ordained Passover. Passover vs. Easter: Jesus is our Passover Lamb (1 Corinthians 5:7). The early church kept the Passover, not a "spring festival." The Argument: By shifting the focus to "Easter Sunday" (a date determined by the equinox rather than the Biblical calendar), the specific timing and meaning God established for the Messiah's sacrifice is obscured. 4. The "Golden Calf" Principle In Exodus 32, the Israelites built a golden calf and called it a "feast to the Lord." * The Result: Even though they claimed they were worshiping the true God, He was furious because they were using a pagan image to represent Him. The Lesson: This suggests that God is not honored when we choose our own "traditions" of worship, especially those borrowed from cultures He told His people to remain separate from.

  • Are you a Christian | Answers 4 Saints

Are you a REAL Christian? The Christianity of the new testament doesn't exist There was only one person in the entire Bible (Torah) that did everything correctly you proclaim to follow Him however you live and do the opposite. He said if you love me keep my commandments, but you don't Christ said: If you want to enter life, keep the commandments.” …Matthew 19:16 God cannot stand the prayers of anyone who disobeys his Law. Proverbs 28:9 If God's laws mean nothing to you You mean nothing to God But I will reply, ‘I never knew you. Get away from me, you who break God’s laws.’Matthew 7:23 All Israel will be saved If you do the things God hates and refuse to keep His commandments, you will receive the mark of the beast (Your Father the Devil) not the mark of God. “Shout with the voice of a trumpet blast. Shout aloud! Don’t be timid. Tell my people Israel of their sins! Isaiah 58:1 Yeshua is Our Advocate …3By this we can be sure that we have come to know Him: if we keep His commandments. 4If anyone says, “I know Him,” but does not keep His commandments, he is a liar, and the truth is not in him. 5But if anyone keeps His word, the love of God has been truly perfected in him. By this we know that we are in Him:… Christianity the New Religion The Final Takeaway Yeshua didn't leave behind a selective checklist where people get to pick and choose which laws to follow. He left a narrow path. This test leaves absolutely no room for casual religion or intellectual debates. Yeshua didn't leave behind a philosophy to be discussed; He left a narrow path to be walked. If the answers point to a life of compromise, it isn't a cue to just feel guilty or give up—it is a direct, urgent call to repent. It means turning away from the ways of the world, picking up the truth of the Torah that Yeshua lived out, and making the firm decision to let your hands, your mind, and your daily life reflect the Master you claim to follow. If people claim to belong to Him but they refuse to live as He lived, keep what He kept, and honor the Torah the way He did, they are practicing lawlessness. True faith is not found in the empty rituals of those who rewrite His words—it is found in literal, active obedience to the Master. According to the New Testament, merely claiming to a Christian and follow the Messiah is not the same as actually following Him. Yeshua said : "And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?" (Luke 6:46) And: "If ye love me, keep my commandments." (John 14:15) The apostle John wrote: "And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments. He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him." (1 John 2:3–4) From this perspective, a person who continually refuses to follow the Messiah's teachings while professing faith creates a contradiction between their profession and their actions. However, many Christians would distinguish between: A believer who struggles with sin but desires to obey God and repents when they fail. A person who knowingly rejects God's commands and has no intention of obeying them. The New Testament repeatedly calls believers to repentance, faith, and obedience, while also recognizing that believers are not sinless and may stumble (1 John 1:8–9). So, if someone completely refuses to follow the Messiah and His commandments, many would argue that Scripture calls into question whether that person's profession of faith is genuine. Passages such as Matthew 7:21–23, Luke 6:46, and 1 John 2:3–4 are often cited in that discussion. The core biblical test is not what a person calls themselves, but whether their life shows faith expressed through obedience to God. How to Find Out Which Religion Is Right (It’s Easier Than You Think) Our Lord again reminds us that the manifestation of our love for Him will be in our obedience to His commands. Keeping Christ's commandments is and always has been the best test of our love for Yeshua Children of God Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.” And I will put my Spirit in you and move you to follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws. Ezekiel 36:27 This is how we know that we live in him and he in us: He has given us of his Spirit. 1 John 4:1 And For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God. Romans 8:1 1 See what kind of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God; and so we are. The reason why the world does not know us is that it did not know him. 2 Beloved, we are God’s children now, and what we will be has not yet appeared; but we know that when he appears we shall be like him, because we shall see him as he is. 3 And everyone who thus hopes in him purifies himself as he is pure. 4 Everyone who makes a practice of sinning also practices lawlessness; sin is lawlessness. 5 You know that he appeared in order to take away sins, and in him, there is no sin. 6 No one who abides in him keeps on sinning; no one who keeps on sinning has either seen him or known him. 7 Little children, let no one deceive you. Whoever practices righteousness is righteous, as he is righteous. 8 Whoever makes a practice of sinning is of the devil, for the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the works of the devil. 9 No one born of God makes a practice of sinning, for God’s seed abides in him; and he cannot keep on sinning, because he has been born of God. 10 By this it is evident who are the children of God, and who are the children of the devil: whoever does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor is the one who does not love his brother. brother. My old self has been crucified with Christ. It is no longer me who lives, but Christ lives in me. So I live in this earthly body by trusting in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. Galatians 2:20 God's seal is not a physical mark The forehead represents the mind of those who make a conscious decision to obey God's requirements to receive His seal will protect us from the last seven plagues. The Mark of God is a sign of obedience between God and His faithful Thus the Sabbath is the sign of a relationship between God and His people, serving as "a test of their loyalty to Him" Yeshua is the LORD of the Sabbath, not Sunday and they get the Mark of God will escape the plages. We are sealed by the Holy Spirit. Is a characteristic of people who have surrendered their lives to God God's seal is in His laws. Bind up the testimonies and seal the law among my disciples. God's sign is His seal, the words sing and seal are interchangeable in the bible. The Sabbath is God's sign, The Sabbath is the seventh day of the week. The fourth commandment is to remember the Sabbath. There is not one scripture in the entire Bible changing the Sabbath to Sunday. Its a sign of God's authority He chose the day. There are three elements to a legal seal, The seal giver His title His territory The Great Commission The Great Commission is Jesus's final instruction to his disciples before his ascension, found in Matthew 28:19-20. The passage says, "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." This is not just a suggestion, but a command for all who follow Him. Why It Is Considered a Sin A Command, Not a Suggestion: The Bible frames this as a clear directive. A sin is defined as "missing the mark" or an act of disobedience against God's will. Willfully ignoring a direct command from Jesus is therefore considered a sinful act. The Nature of a Disciple: In Christian belief, a true disciple isn't just a follower, but a learner and a reproducer. The biblical understanding is that a disciple of Jesus should naturally want to share their faith and help others become disciples, just as they were discipled. A Christian who has no desire to make disciples may be demonstrating a lack of genuine conversion or a spiritual selfishness that is contrary to the self-sacrificial nature of Christ. Sins of Omission: The Bible teaches that sin isn't only about doing something wrong (sins of commission) but also about failing to do something you know you should do (sins of omission). Not making disciples falls squarely into this category. It's an act of neglecting a divinely ordained responsibility. While a Christian's salvation isn't based on their ability to make disciples, their obedience to this command is seen as evidence of their faith and love for God and others. For many, a failure to engage in this work points to a deeper spiritual issue, such as fear, a lack of trust in God's power, or a love for oneself more than for others. There is now one single law that rules both Jew and Greek alike: The law of faith (Romans 3:27) The law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus (Romans 8:2) The law of Christ = love God and love your neighbor, fulfilled by the Spirit (Galatians 5:14; 6:2; Romans 13:8–10) One God. One Messiah. One gospel. One law for Jews and Greeks: faith in the crucified and risen Jesus. That is why Paul can say in the very next breath after “neither Jew nor Greek”: “You are all one in Christ Jesus. And if you are Christ’s, then you are Abraham’s offspring, heirs according to the promise” (Galatians 3:28–29). Same promise. Same inheritance. Same law. No exceptions. No special tracks.

  • Mystery Babylon | Answers 4 Saints

Who is Mystery Babylon? The Fall of Babylon the Great 1 After these things I saw another angel coming down from heaven, having great authority, and the earth was illuminated with his glory. 2 And he cried mightily with a loud voice, saying, “Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and has become a dwelling place of demons, a prison for every foul spirit, and a cage for every unclean and hated bird! 3 For all the nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth have become rich through the abundance of her luxury.” 4 And I heard another voice from heaven saying, “Come out of her, my people, lest you share in her sins, and lest you receive of her plagues. 5 For her sins have reached heaven, and God has remembered her iniquities. 6 Render to her just as she rendered to you, and repay her double according to her works; in the cup which she has mixed, mix double for her. 7 In the measure that she glorified herself and lived luxuriously, in the same measure give her torment and sorrow; for she says in her heart, ‘I sit as queen, and am no widow, and will not see sorrow.’ 8 Therefore her plagues will come in one day—death and mourning and famine. And she will be utterly burned with fire, for strong is the Lord God who judges her. The World Mourns Babylon’s Fall 9“The kings of the earth who committed fornication and lived luxuriously with her will weep and lament for her, when they see the smoke of her burning, 10standing at a distance for fear of her torment, saying, ‘Alas, alas, that great city Babylon, that mighty city! For in one hour your judgment has come.’ 11“And the merchants of the earth will weep and mourn over her, for no one buys their merchandise any more: 12merchandise of gold and silver, precious stones and pearls, fine linen and purple, silk and scarlet, every kind of citron wood, every kind of object of ivory, every kind of object of most precious wood, bronze, iron, and marble; 13 and cinnamon and incense, fragrant oil and frankincense, wine and oil, fine flour and wheat, cattle and sheep, horses and chariots, and bodies and souls of men. 14 The fruit that your soul longed for has gone from you, and all the things which are rich and splendid have gone from you, and you shall find them no more at all. 15 The merchants of these things, who became rich by her, will stand at a distance for fear of her torment, weeping and wailing, 16and saying, ‘Alas, alas, that great city that was clothed in fine linen, purple, and scarlet, and adorned with gold and precious stones and pearls! 17 For in one hour such great riches came to nothing.’ Every shipmaster, all who travel by ship, sailors, and as many as trade on the sea, stood at a distance 18 and cried out when they saw the smoke of her burning, saying, ‘What is like this great city?’ 19“They threw dust on their heads and cried out, weeping and wailing, and saying, ‘Alas, alas, that great city, in which all who had ships on the sea became rich by her wealth! For in one hour, she is made desolate.’ 20“Rejoice over her, O heaven, and you holy apostles and prophets, for God, has avenged you on her!” Finality of Babylon’s Fall 21 Then a mighty angel took up a stone like a great millstone and threw it into the sea, saying, “Thus with violence, the great city Babylon shall be thrown down, and shall not be found anymore. 22 The sound of harpists, musicians, flutists, and trumpeters shall not be heard in you anymore. No craftsman of any craft shall be found in you anymore, and the sound of a millstone shall not be heard in you anymore. 23 The light of a lamp shall not shine in you anymore, and the voice of bridegroom and bride shall not be heard in you anymore. For your merchants were the great men of the earth, for by your sorcery all the nations were deceived. 24 And in her was found the blood of prophets and saints, and of all who were slain on the earth.”
